The team at Ubisoft Montreal partnered with Sony to offer a full hour of exclusive content starring fan-favorite Assassin Aveline de Grandpré – and we’ve got a stunning first look at Aveline in action.
So why bring back Aveline? As Game Director Ashraf Ismail says in the video, it’s because the team loved her and felt they could extend her story – which they’re doing in three full missions, exclusively available on PS3 and PS4. This time around, Aveline is a bit older and, perhaps, wiser – but she’s every bit as feisty, ready for action with her dual pistols and iconic machete. Aveline’s missions once again have her protecting and freeing slaves, including Patience Gibbs, the imprisoned teenage leader of a band of runaways, who’s accused of plotting the mass murder of slave traders. Aveline will run into all kinds of obstacles – both above and below ground – en route to assassinating a Templar doctor named Edmund Judge and recovering a First Civilization artifact that’s somehow connected to the story…
